Overdrive, also known as Sora in schools) is an e-book and e-audio platform for e-lending. Books can be read on your computer, Kindle, Nook, iPad and many other devices. You can listen to audio books on your Windows computers, and many will download directly to your smart phone.

LAPL
If you have your LAPL card number, you can access their eresources. If you live in Los Angeles County, you can apply for a free digital card to gain access to those resources.
LA County Library
Anyone in Los Angeles County can apply for a Digital LA County Library card. This will give you access to their ebooks on Overdrive as well as streaming sites such as Kanopy and their many databases.
